Pricing
Guidelines
An asking price of
25-30% of retail is common. For example, you might
price a pair of pants that originally cost $20, at $5.00. That is just a suggested guideline for items
in good condition. We also encourage you
to price your items to
sell, while also asking a fair price. Items that are priced too high may not sell as
well. Certainly items that are brand new
with tags still on them are clearly a bargain at a reduced price. A good measure is if you ask yourself whether
you would pay that price for an item.
Once you price your items, you cannot scribble through barcodes or
change prices. Barcodes will scan at the
price they were entered. If you want to
adjust the price of an item, you will need to affix a new barcode. Minimum price is $1.00, and prices must be in $.50 (fifty cent) increments. Tip: When pricing your items, we
suggest penciling in your price on the tag where the barcode will be placed so
you can tally quantity of prices needed when ordering barcodes.
Please see photos in Tagging Instructions. Once you receive your barcodes,
simply place the matching price over the penciled in amount. No hand-written prices will be accepted.
