Welcome
to St. Philip’s! Thank you for looking in on
us. St. Philip’s is a relatively small, but growing
Episcopal congregation in the Pioneer Valley of Western
Massachusetts. We welcome new people, and are quick to
incorporate them into the life of the church.
St. Philip’s has a strong youth ministry (especially for the
younger children), a solid and generous program of outreach to the
community and the world, and a fine music program, as well as a passion
for ministering to the needs of our own congregation.
One of my goals is to live a life of prayer and to lead this
congregation in a life of prayer. A doctorate in
parish ministry (1987), a thirty-day silent, directed Ignatian retreat
(1995) and the two-year program through The Academy for Spiritual
Formation (2007) have been spiritual high points for me, as well as
resources toward this goal.
