Saint Philip's Youth Coordinator
My name is Molly Ward, and I am the Youth Coordinator here at St.
Philip’s. I oversee our youth education programs and
special events, coordinate curriculum, and arrange scheduling for the
volunteers, teachers and nursery care providers that work with our
children. I have been a member of St. Philip’s for quite a
while but accepted this position just two and a half years ago.
We were fortunate to receive a grant through the Episcopal Diocese of
Western Mass. This enabled the church to fulfill its hope of
hiring a part-time Youth Leader who could help the programs for our
young people to grow and thrive. It has been a pleasure to serve
in this capacity and to watch our children grow and learn in a safe and
supportive Christian church community.
My undergraduate degree is in art, having majored in studio art and
minored in Spanish, receiving my BA from Colby College in 1986. I
did my graduate work in Education at Smith College, graduating and
receiving my masters degree in the Spring of 1992. I have served
on the vestry of our church, the parish life committee, and
participated as a lay reader. I have also been a member of the
choir.
